ADHD & AuDHD Guidance Consultations — Nurse-Led Support in Berkeley, Gloucestershire
Struggling to make sense of ADHD or AuDHD?
Our nurse-led guidance consultations give you a calm, practical space to ask questions and feel supported — whether you’re considering assessment, waiting for results, or adjusting to a diagnosis. We’re not a diagnostic or prescribing service, but we do offer experienced, empathetic help to make the system feel less overwhelming.
Who these consultations are for
Whether you’re:
-
Considering a formal ADHD or AuDHD assessment
-
Waiting for NHS or private assessment results
-
Unsure what to do after a diagnosis
-
Needing help navigating forms, referrals or next steps
Our sessions are suitable for adults and older teens (16+) who want clear, compassionate guidance without medical jargon or pressure.
What to expect during a guidance consultation
During a one-to-one consultation with an experienced nurse, we’ll:
-
Explore whether seeking a formal diagnosis could help you
-
Explain the assessment process, including NHS “Right to Choose” referrals and what to expect from private assessments
-
Offer practical tips for preparing for assessment and what to do while you wait
-
Discuss support after diagnosis — from lifestyle adjustments to local and online resources
-
Help you navigate paperwork, letters, and options for further care
You may find one session gives the clarity you need, or you may prefer ongoing check-ins. We’ll tailor the support to your pace and priorities.
About the nurse providing guidance
Our ADHD & AuDHD guidance consultations are led by Linzi, a highly experienced nurse who has worked extensively in ADHD assessment pathways and medication titration. She understands not just the clinical processes, but also the emotional and practical challenges that come with navigating them.
Linzi also brings her own lived experience of ADHD assessment and support. She has personally been through the process herself, and has also supported both her son and her wife through their AuDHD journeys. This unique perspective allows her to offer not only professional expertise but also genuine empathy — understanding the highs, lows, and uncertainties families often face.
With this combination of medical knowledge and personal experience, Linzi provides guidance that is clear, compassionate, and grounded in real-world understanding.
Her goal is to make every client feel informed, supported, and confident in taking their next steps.
