Blemish & Lesion Removal

NSW01533.jpg

Benign skin lesions and blemishes are extremely common and can arise due to genetics, hormonal changes, ageing, friction, or sun exposure. While often harmless, they can cause physical discomfort, cosmetic concern, or anxiety if they change in appearance.

At Allure Medical Aesthetics, blemish and lesion removal is delivered as a medical service, not a cosmetic shortcut. Every lesion is assessed clinically to ensure it is suitable for treatment and that the most appropriate removal method is selected.

Clinical Assessment & Safety

All blemish and lesion removal treatments begin with a thorough consultation and skin assessment. This includes evaluation of lesion type, size, colour, borders, and history. Only lesions deemed benign and appropriate for in-clinic treatment are treated.

If a lesion requires further investigation or falls outside safe treatment parameters, appropriate guidance is provided. This assessment-first approach ensures patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Treatment Methods

The treatment method selected depends on lesion characteristics, location, and skin type. Techniques are chosen to minimise trauma to surrounding tissue and support effective healing.

Procedures are carried out with precision and care, using medically appropriate techniques designed to remove the lesion while preserving skin integrity. Local anaesthetic may be used where required to ensure comfort.

Commonly Treated Skin Concerns

We treat a wide range of benign skin lesions, including:

  • Skin tags

  • Benign pigmentation lesions

  • Seborrhoeic keratoses

  • Benign growths and blemishes

Treatment suitability is determined individually, as lesion behaviour and skin response vary between patients.

Healing & Aftercare

Following lesion removal, clear aftercare guidance is provided to support healing and reduce the risk of infection, scarring, or pigmentation changes.

Healing times vary depending on lesion size and location, but most patients experience minimal disruption to daily activities.

Follow-up is available if required to monitor healing progress.
